About Me

Hello-  I am Brian Newhouse from Gibsonia Pa.  I love and collect small outboard powered vintage boats, all types including wooden, aluminum, and FIBERGLASSICS...  I also collect vintage pre-1962 outboard motors mostly larger HP, love those six cylinder Merc. towers-of-power and those Evinrude and Johnson Fat-50 V50s.  I would very much like to talk more with anyone about this vintage boating passion, especially those people located near the Pittsburgh Pa. location, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call my office at 724-275-5594.  Boats that I currently own are a 1957 Duratech, a 1962 Starcraft Jupiter, a 1962 Custom Craft Sunray, a 1958 Lakewood, a 1966 Circraft flying saucer, a 1963 Aristocraft Funliner, a 1959 Parsons Lake-n-Sea, 1953 Chris Craft Sportsman, a 1955 Cadillac twin cockpit Seaville, a 1960 Larson Sea Lion, and a 1958 Holiday by Quaker State.  I am always looking to buy more vintage boats, espcially ones with tail fins... please feel free to contact me to talk about anything vintage boat related.  Happy boating...

About Me

I am a licensed boat captain currently working for the US Army Corps of Engineers on the Cape Cod Canal. I own a 1960 MFG Oxford that I bought in 2007 on Ebay. They are neat boats and surprisingly seaworthy.  There are very few modern boats that have the lines that vintage MFGs do. I get compliments every time I take mine out! Glad to see others wanting to keep these classic boats on the water!

About Me

The boat is a 1959 Herters Quebec. It was in very bad condition. Had to refiberglass the botton and the transom. The bottom now has several coats of graphite. The interior has new seats constructed of native white oak. She is powered by a 1958 Johnson 18 HP. Presently have a 1968 Johnson 20 HP electric start that is being prepaired for everyday use. the Johnson 18 HP will be used for AOMCI events and classic boat events. The trailer had to be discarded. A newly rebuilt one now carrys her. The trailer rebuild was featured in Duckworks Magazine.
