About Me

My name is Allen, and my father and I own a boat restoration company in B.C. Canada. I have been restoring old 'glass boats for over 25 years. Our company is called Dryland Marine and you can find us on Facebook. I have seen almost every boat ever made...accept the one in my profile pic. This one has me so frustrated because I have no idea the make or model. I have searched everywhere for info. She is 23 feet and appears to be around late 1950s or early 1960s.

About Me

Recently out of boats and back into being a gear head. Miss the water skiing, etc. but unfortunately it takes at least 3 persons. Have 2 horses that we trail ride when we can find the time or on a rare occassion joust.

What kind(s) of Classic boat do you own?

Back in the mid 70's to 1985 picked up an Aquabird that I dropped a 50 hp Evinrude V4 that had a seadrive on it. After having the shaft shortened took her out for skiing. Top speed was 36 mph but it could pull 4 skiiers! The transom was rotten (didn't know it at the time) and it cracked while out on an inlet by the Atlantic Ocean. Tore it completely down and rebuilt it from the ground up. Back then Sear's Roebuck had a boating catalog and all the lights, horn, windshield, etc. came from Sears. Was a nice boat, finally sold it after ordering a new 1986 Regal 185 Medallion with a 190 hp Mercruiser and Alpha 1 drive in January 1985. Took possession in June and kept her like new until early 2013. Miss that boat.

About Me

Hi my name is Bob , I live in Lake Havasu City Arizona . I bought first boat in 1977 it was a 1977 Nordic Scandia Jet boat. from then on it's been all types and styles of watercraft that was primarly used here on the lower Colorado River. I had not owend a boat since 2010 and I came across a  "finned" boat just sitting wide open in an empty lot  since 2007. Long story short  I"m now the proud  owner of a 1960 " Red Fish Shark ". My first boat restoration is now underway and after some research I felt " Fiberglassics " would be a good place to start .
